As the address at the top of the page says, my name is Matthew Beveridge. I am a postgrad student at Massey, studying politics, with a focus on political communication and social media. Since this year is a general election, I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog. Somewhere I can comment and make observations as well as engage in debate. I will attempt to confine my comment to the areas to do with political communication and policy announcement, however it will sometimes drift into commenting on the content of the policies.
I will attempt to be as balanced as possible, giving praise and criticism where they are both due.
I look forward to engaging over the coming weeks and months and hope that we all, no matter our political views, get something out of this exchange.
